Silly people don't know how or don't bother to lock down their webcams

Seriously. They have unsecured cams of their bedrooms, jacuzzis, air ports or even nanny cams.
I can't fathom the use of this cam, but it should atleast have a password!

A lot of people don't think much of it but it lets people case their house from the inside out. Privacy is one issue yes but we are talking about a 2 second google search and rudimentary knowledge of IP Addresses and who is. LOL

A simple example anyone can try is to simply enter the following into google.
inurl:/view/index.shtml
Once you see something of interest head to ARIN and enter the IP.

Here's a pet kennel: http://71.157.145.90:8222/view/index.shtml?videos=one
ARIN Says
DENISE PERRY in Richardson, TX

Kirkene's cam: http://193.69.140.40/view/index.shtml
ARIN Says
Address: P.O. Box 10096
City: Amsterdam
Now it's relatively simple to secure these, even with something as a simple as a password. These two look relatively harmless but people don't seem to realize what their putting on the internet these days.

You don't need a high powered system or have a degree in computer science to case a house with google, find it with ARIN and ensue with evil plans and agendas. (Bush says there are a ton of evil doers. EVIL! DO! ERS!) The flip side of that is of course, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to learn to secure your web or ip cam.

Anyways, take heed. Also note you can edit your whois and arin data to be more private if you are so inclined. I don't know of any free services but register.com has a pay service.
